Phytosanitary treatment

The phytosanitary treatment of wooden crates and packaging, exported/imported cargo. Pursuant to the Letter of RF Federal Customs Service N 14–82/31991 dated July 10, 2009 “On submitting the quarantineable products list” “Wooden packaging and fixing material exported from the Russian Federation, including that applied for packaging of products, should contain a mark applied to it according to the International Standard for Phytosanitary Measures ISPM N 15 “Guidelines for regulation of wooden packaging materials in the international trade” (Rome, 2002). (refer to the Rosgoskarantin FSI letter N 1342 dated 12.11.2004)” |

Pursuant to the above-noted Standard, wooden packaging materials include pellets made of coniferous and hard wood, dunnage (fixtures, support stands), bases, cases, drums, boxes, inserts, wooden skids for loading, boards for pallet boxes, and racks used for fixation, protection and transportation of goods. When exported, the wooden packaging materials should be disinfected by heat treatment or fumigation and should have the special marking. |
The License 0-0000119 from 13.08.2018 granted TransPack Service Co., Ltd by the Federal Veterinary and Phytosanitary Monitoring Service “Rosselkhoznadzor” for Phytosanitary quarantine treatment of wooden packaging and fixing material and assigned by Registration No. RU-65007 HT. This number includes a mark applied to a wooden package, container or fixture. |

Phytosanitary treatment procedure and specifications applied by TPS A procedure is the heat treatment. Materials are heat treated with achievement of the temperature of +60°С for the whole wood thickness and duration of this heat mode is more than 60 minutes. Duration of the full exposition cycle is up to 10 hours. Aggregate maximum characteristics of a treated material (cargo) loaded in a chamber in one - (L*W*H) - 6100×1200×1500 mm, weight - up to 5 t. Export wooden packages and cargo containers made by TransPack Service LLC will be automatically marked. Additional treatment of such products isn’t required. |
